Chartered Accountant

David studied chemistry at Brasenose College, Oxford and subsequently joined the Manchester office of Price Waterhouse, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1987. He spent four years in the firm’s corporate finance department prior to taking a Board appointment in industry. He founded DBA in 1994 and has specialised in working with SMEs, particularly in the technology arena. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Manchester Business School and the Advanced Diploma in Corporate Finance. A member of the ICAEW faculties of Corporate Finance and Finance and Management he is also member of the Institute’s Regional Strategy Board.

Tina Bucknall

Operations Manager

Tina has spent over 20 years working with entrepreneurial businesses and since 2001 has focused on the technology sector. She has a unique skills set which combines a practical hands on approach with a wealth of technical accounting experience and has a keen eye for detail whilst maintaining the strategic overview. As well as providing operational assistance to clients and ensuring that core information systems are functioning correctly, Tina works with management to lead the development of new reports which are tailored to meet the needs of rapidly evolving businesses.

Nicola Peters ACCA BA DipM

Consultant

Nicky graduated in 1992 with a BA in Hospitality Management and Diploma in Marketing.  She joined the DBA team in 2007 having spent over 12 years working with a number of SME’s in a financial and marketing capacity.  Nicky has also passed her ACCA Professional Qualification.

In addition to supporting the Group marketing activities Nicky works with several clients to provide corporate and strategic planning advice as well as direct operational support.

Gillian Leighton

Practice Manager

Gillian has extensive experience working within highly regulated professional environments having spent many years with a major UK insurer and one of the country’s largest police forces.

Her primary role is the management of the DBA Group Practice Assurance systems which are structured to provide all our clients with the highest quality professional service.
